Life Groups

We are just entering an exciting transitional time where Life groups will be within Life Communities. Life Groups are like our immediate family - people we see week-in, week-out. Groups of around 10 who meet to eat, have fun and live out lives of faith together. Life Communities are like our wider family, the main forum for service and mission in the church.

One of the ways we nurture and maintain relationships in such a large church is to meet up in smaller groups during the week.

There are many different types of groups, such as ones specially tailored for youth, for students, 20's and 30's, family groups, and retired groups as well.

We've also got some groups which cover all the generations, and other groups which have a particular focus or have a heart to reach out to their locality. But the main key to it all is to do life together

Don't be anonymous!

We don't want anyone to get 'lost' in the crowd. So we encourage you to belong to a group of between 10 and 14 people that meets in someone's home every week (the location might vary as different members host the evening).

The purpose of the meeting is to pray, chat, worship God together, discuss the main points of the preaching from the previous Sunday, grow in our love for God, get to know each other, laugh together, drink coffee and eat biscuits.

Of course, part of our life together means discovering ways we can help each other with practical needs, reaching out to the local community and work colleagues, carrying each others' burdens, etc. This means that we grow together and serve the people with whom we come into contact in daily life, at work, at the school gate, in the shops - wherever!

There's so much more to church life than Sundays! Making close friendships and feeling supported, loved, encouraged and that we're in this together is a hugely important part of why God has called us to be in this church.
